GLYCAEMIC INDEX

The Glycaemic Index (GI) is a method of ranking foods on a scale according to the extent to which foods raise blood glucose levels after ingestion.

Carbohydrate foods that break down quickly during digestion have the highest GI values - their blood glucose response is fast and high.

Carbohydrates which break down slowly, releasing glucose gradually into the bloodstream, have low GI factors.


WHAT IS THE SIGNIFICANCE OF GLYCAEMIC INDEX?

  1. Low GI foods can help people control their hunger, appetite and blood sugar levels.

  2. Low GI means a smaller rise in blood sugar and can help control established diabetes.

  3. Low GI diets can help people lose weight and lower blood lipids.

  4. Low GI diets can improve the body's sensitivity to insulin.

  5. High GI foods can help re-fuel carbohydrate stores after exercise.

  1. 500gms Low GI Bread mix.

  2. 500gms flour

  3. 35.5gms fresh yeast

  4. Approx. 500gms of water.


No time dough.

Finish Temperature 30°C.

Mould, prove and bake.

Packing : 5 kg Carton

Storage : Cool, dry and dark conditions up to 9 months.
